When you honor God with your sexuality by remaining abstinent before marriage:

·    You are free from a guilty conscience regarding sex.

·    There is no barrier between you and God due to sexual immorality.

·    There is no need to take strong hormones that cause an imbalance to natural bodily cycles.

·    There is no risk of STDs (sexually transmitted diseases).

·    There is no need for Planned Parenthood’s services or other costly examinations for STDs

·    There is no risk of a pregnancy.

·    There is no dilemma regarding abortion.

·    There is no need to be vaccinated for HPV.

·    There is a reduction in the risk of breast cancer that can result from taking the pill or having an abortion.

·    You have a better prospect of a lasting relationship in marriage.

·    The prospect of joy at the news of a baby conceived in a loving marriage relationship.

·    It will help protect you from an abusive relationship.

·    It will give you more confidence in a relationship where you prospective partner respects you and does not want to use you.

·    You will have the respect of your peers (they might mock you, but inwardly have respect for you).

·    You will be able to be trusted with other responsibilities.

·    You will develop a healthier self-esteem.

·    You will enjoy the benefits of a good reputation.

·    You will avoid bitter memories and regrets.

·    You will avoid shame and dark secrets kept from parents.

·    You will avoid the need to lie to others about elicit intimate relationship.

            If we could make this list longer promising you great success in life and guaranteeing you millions of dollars if you remained sexually pure before marriage, there is a good chance that that would NOT be enough—such is the power of your sexuality.

            It is very difficult to get through the teen years in the age in which we live and not give in to pressure. Nationally nearly 40% give up their virginity by the time they graduate from high school and 75% do by collage graduation.  

            But there is one way to find the POWER for a lifestyle of sexual purity and escape the grip of this world and that is through Christ. God’s Word promises in

I Cor. 10: 13

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

            This is a promise God gives to those that have found new life in HIM.

If you want to have God’s “better plan for the family” you CAN through Christ. It begins by becoming a child of God through faith in Christ. Then following Him and trusting Him in every area of your life.     Religion alone may not  be power enough, reason alone may not be power enough, and fear alone may not  be power enough to overcome the temptation to remain sexually pure, but Jesus alone is POWER enough! Call upon him today!

            On the other hand if you persist in sexual sin God’s Word warns:

9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.  I Corinthians 6:9,10

And  

 3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be partners with them. Ephesians 5:3-7

Through this same faith in Christ you can also find forgiveness and healing from past sexual sins. It is NEVER too late to start living a sexually pure life. The Bible promises;

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  1 John 1:9 

What the birth-control pill

CANNOT do for you:

·Guarantee that you will not get pregnant.

·Guarantee against getting an STD.

·Provide any protection against guilt and shame.

·Provide emotional support after a one-night stand.

·Restore a broken promise.

·Build trust and respect in a relationship

·Make you feel good about yourself.
